How to: Required Minimum Distribution

How to give all or part of your required minimum distribution

  1. Contact your IRA administrator (in writing) and ask the administrator to cut a check to TMI.

  2. Have the Administrator mail the check or send the gift directly to TMI or to you to deliver to TMI—make sure the check is made out to TMI and not to you.

  3. Notify TMI that you are sending an IRA distribution to TMI.
